In these unprecedented times we wanted to let you all know what Trafford Parents Forum are doing to support SEND families and keep you informed.

Justine is in daily contact with the Senior Officers in both the Children's and Adult Services at Trafford Council.  She will be producing a weekly update with information from these contacts and any national developments.

Trafford Parents Forum team are in regular daily contact with each other to share information and developing further ways to support SEND families in Trafford.

Rebecca has started the Tuesday online drop in to speak with parent carers.  There are also daily challenges being set for families and for self-care for parent carers.

The team are currently looking at whether they could organise an online Q and A with officers from the local authority.

We will continue to do our best to support you through this challenging time.

Why we exist

Being the parent or carer of a child with special needs can be a lonely, demanding and frustrating experience.

We believe it is vital that parents and carers have a voice about their child’s education, health and social care.  The Parents Forum works in partnership with parents and professionals in the key areas that affect us and our children.

As well as the ‘big’ stuff, the forum also provides advice and support for parents…. From a cup of coffee, the opportunity to meet other parents,  leaflets and information to invitations to  training events and conferences.
