OFSTED/CQC Local Area SEND Inspection - Update

Dear Parent Carer

Please find update information on the OFSTED/CQC Local Area SEND Inspection.

We have been informed that the OFSTED/CQC information letter to parents has been prepared and has been sent out to all parent carers who have a child or young person with SEND and Additional Needs, this does include those parents with SEN Support children, today. Schools will receive a copy of the letters through the schools bulletin this Friday too. For those parents whose children or young person's education setting is being visited you will receive an additional letter giving you information on how you can be involved in the schools visit..

IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE LA, PLEASE CAN YOU LET THE FORUM KNOW. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE CAN SHARE THIS INFORMATION.

There are parent carer representatives attending 11 HMI OFSTED focus groups on Monday and Tuesday, but are still awaiting confirmation regarding the CQC focus group parent carer representative attendance. The forum will chase this up tomorrow.

Wednesday
HMI OFSTED Inspectors will be visiting the following education settings (All educational settings should have been informed by now)
Ashton on Mersey and Trafford College
Seymour Park and Lostock College

Thursday
Delamere and Rossendale (out of borough provision)

Brentwood and Acrehall

Early years provision Inspector Team will visit Sanyu Old Trafford and Amaryllis Old Trafford, and Lime Tree Primary School
The Inspectors will be talking to the Leadership Team at the education setting, Governors, Children and Young People and Parent Carers.
During this week there will also be visits to Health settings and services by the CQC Inspectors, but we do not have the final timetable for this as yet. We will try to get some clarification tomorrow morning.

Friday

This will be for reflection and for the OFSTED/CQC Team to prepare their final comments. This feedback cannot be shared publicly until the official report has been prepared and sent to the Director of Children Services at Trafford. This can take up to 40 days. We are hoping that this will have been issued before our next SEND Family Focus Meeting so we can include this on our agenda for discussion.

Many thanks everyone, please keep sharing the survey link, don't forget to register for the webinar before Tuesday 31st January and please send your experiences via the email address which you can find on the OFSTED/CQC Information letter, or website, Facebook, Twitter pages.

We will keep informing you throughout the process.

The TPF Team
